Countdown to College: Navigating College for Students with LD and ADHD

Monday, Jun 3, 2019 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM

Going to college is a big step for any teenager, but students with learning disabilities and attention issues face additional challenges. Our panel of college students will address getting the supports and accommodations students need, how to discuss learning challenges with professors, and concerns such as course load, time management, life skills, and navigating the social scene. Deena Maerowitz, Principal, College & Graduate School Advising at The Bertram Group, will moderate the panel. This candid discussion for high school students and parents will provide an invaluable view of life in college, from the inside out.

Community partner: Smart Kids with Learning Disabilities
