An Evening with Writer and Musician Tommy Wallach

tommy wallachEnjoy an evening with Brooklyn-based writer and musician Tommy WallachHe will talk about his debut novel We All Looked Up, where four high school seniors put their hopes, hearts, and humanity on the line as an asteroid hurtles toward Earth. (It's already optioned by Paramount Pictures for a movie.) He will also feature original music from the companion album to the book in this performance. 

Weston's own indie acoustic band, Acoustic Cubed, will open the show. Weston High School students Jayson Pinals, Ben Averick and Shane Mandell are known for their renditions of The Beatles, Darius Rucker, Phillip Phillips, Five For Fighting and John Mayer.

His fiction and nonfiction works have appeared in McSweeney’s, Tin House, Wired, Salon and other magazines. As a musician, he has put out an EP with Decca Records and performed at the Guggenheim Museum in New York City.
The Adults Read YA Fiction club will also be discussing his book at their meeting on Tuesday, May 26 at 7 pm. More information on this.
