Eighth Annual Maker Faire Westport

Saturday, Apr 27, 2019 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM

The theme this year is 8: Cre8, Innov8, Educ8. Part science fair, part county fair, and part something entirely new, Maker Faire Westport is an all-ages gathering of tech enthusiasts, crafters, educators, tinkerers, hobbyists, engineers, science clubs, authors, artists, students and commercial exhibitors.
This year the attractions include:

  • Game of Drones, sponsored by Sacred Heart University Engineering, features racing drones built by students will be flying at more than 100 mph in a cage through an obstacle course.
  • The Great Duck Project, sponsored by Westport Sunrise Rotary Club, is aiming for a Guinness World Record for the world’s largest 3D printed duck.
  • The Sustainable Pathways area will have interactive exhibits from around Fairfield County so you can experience what people are doing to make the world
    a better place.

Maker Faire Westport is looking for volunteers to help with its 8th annual event on Saturday, April 27. Volunteers can help with setup, working with makers, teardown and more. Both active and passive volunteer opportunities are available. Each volunteer receives a free official Maker Faire Westport t-shirt! Sign up now at westport.makerfaire.com/volunteer/.
