Parenting the ADHD Child

Tuesday, Mar 6, 2018 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM

When a child is diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), parents often feel overwhelmed and unsure how to move forward. Clinical psychologist Dr. Cynthia Keefe will provide a brief overview of ADHD and discuss different approaches to help your child, and help yourself. Special emphasis will be placed on Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, a new family therapy program that helps improve both the parentchild bond and child cooperation and behavior.

This talk will be streamed live on the Facebook site for Smart Kids with Learning Disabilities.

Community partner, Smart Kids with Learning Disabilities, will be having an open house prior to the talk, at 6:30 pm.

Cynthia Keefe, Psy.D., is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and a Certified Parent-Child Interaction Therapist. She specializes in working with children, adolescents, and young adults. Dr. Keefe is a member of the Psychology Team at the Southfield Center for Development in Darien, CT and also has her own private practice in Fairfield, CT.
