Scratch Coding Camp
Join other SCRATCH enthusiasts, ages 9 and up, in a weeklong workshop designed for those who are familiar with programming in SCRATCH, and want to take their skills to the next level. (During the ticket ordering procedure you will be asked for some information: "Attendees need some background using Scratch. Please provide a short description of some programs you've written in Scratch. Please be prepared to enter that information.)
Each day, campers will embark on a different Creative Quest where they will imagine, create, share and debug scratch code in a team environment. At the end of the week, parents are invited to an exhibit where campers can present their accomplishments.
Students are expected to have basic knowledge of Scratch. Even if they've written a few small programs in Scratch, this workshop will be perfect for them. The workshop will be conducted in a "pair programming" format, so feel free to encourage friends to sign up, too!
Each student must bring an internet-enabled laptop that is capable of running Scratch 2.0. Please visit http://scratch.mit.edu and click the Create button at the top to ensure your laptop is able to run Scratch.
