Teens and the Law: What Parents and Students Need to Know

Laws change all the time but often, teenage behavior doesn’t. Lawyer Matthew Maddox will help students and parents understand the responsibility and consequences of new and existing Connecticut laws, including affirmative consent, social hosting, cyber-bullying and more.

Matthew Maddox is a Fairfield County trial attorney who has represented thousands of individuals and their families in criminal cases and serious injury cases. Matthew volunteers substantial time assisting student and parent groups throughout Connecticut about underage substance abuse. He was the co-founder of the Ram Council, a New Canaan High School student-run organization for the advancement of safe and healthy practices for Fairfield County youth. Most recently, Matthew established Informed Ascent, LLC, a company whose mission is to bring reliable data and information to families about topics that impact their health and their future.
