WestportREADS 2018: “On the Front”: Veterans' Reflections on WWI

A panel of veterans, including Jay Dirnberger (helicopter pilot in the Vietnam War) , Jack Klinge (Kennedy Administration, cold war) and Patrick Scott (Afganistan), reflect on their own experiences of war and how the “great war” altered their world. In this collaboration with WestportREADS, the Westport Historical Society will moderate an open dialogue about war and the impacts on the daily lives of people dealing with the aftermath of the World War I, as well as the building tension of World War II. Veterans from various backgrounds will discuss their experiences and their thoughts on the conflicts that still arise today. More...
