WestportWRITES Mini-Conference: Write Your (Publishing) Adventure

Sunday, Jun 10, 2018 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM

This month, WestportWRITES explores the publishing process. Author RJ Theodore (Flotsam, Book One of The Peridot Shift series) and Parvus Press executive editor John Adamus will talk about the long road a book takes from submission to publication. Adamus will also lead a breakout Q&A about the editing process.

Note location: Suzuki Music School, 246 Post Road East

WestportWRITES is a robust, year-long series designed to take your writing to the next level. Designed to create a support structure along the path to publication, the monthly mini-conferences and workshop-based programming will culminate with a fall 2018 writers’ conference.

R J Theodore is hellbent on keeping herself busy. Seriously folks, if she has a two spare minutes to rub together at the end of the day, she invents a new project with which to occupy them. She enjoys design, illustration, video games (mostly spectating, for she is not as adept at them as she would prefer), reading, binging on media, napping with her cats, and cooking. She is passionate about art and coffee. R J Theodore lives in New England with her family. She co-hosts The Hybrid Author Podcast and writes non-fiction as Rekka Jay. Book One of the Peridot Shift series (Parvus Press), Flotsamis Theodore’s debut full-length science fiction novel, released in March and is available in digital, print, and audiobook.

John Adamus is a real-life professional creative coach, working with people who want to create their stories and art in their best way possible. He is also the Executive Editor of Parvus Press, producer of excellent science fiction and fantasy. As a staunch supporter of creatives and stories and people doing their best, he is a tireless resource of writing and publishing knowledge all over social media, but predominantly Twitter, as @awesome_john, and his blog at http://writernextdoor.com. He lives in New Jersey in a house full of books and games with a little white dog. He is not a fan of headshots, peas or mayonnaise.
