Workshop on Pruning

seed library imageAs a part of the Library's seed library program, expert plantsman Russ Miller discusses how to prune: why, when and where to cut on a variety of plants. Pruning is is very invigorating for plants, and keeps them healthy and vibrant. The dead and diseased wood must also be removed. If you want to participate in pruning, bring a hand pruner.

Russ Miller is a plantsman and avid, passionate plant lover with a 28 yr. career as a self-employed landscaper. He is knowledgeable in all aspects of residential landscape maintenance, trimming and pruning of bushes and small trees, perennial gardens, plant diseases and when and which herbicide or pesticide to use and natural alternative solutions. He has biological and experiential knowledge of thousands of species of plants and excels at pruning, perennial gardens, garden restoration and container planting.
