Writing Scripts for Television

typerwriterJoin writer GiGi New for a two-part workshop that offers a fresh and informative perspective in how to create a strong script for today’s television landscape.

The first session (Thursday, 7/28 from 6:30-8:30 pm) will incorporate the “how to” of script formatting as well as essential story elements needed for crafting an engaging television series. The second session (Thursday, 8/25 from 6:30-8:30 pm) will discuss pitching your ideas for an original television show and the merits of the premise and characters. gigi newGiGi New is a film and television writer. A finalist for The Disney Fellowship, she began her career as an assistant on "Everybody Loves Raymond" and moved on to writing for the award winning Nickelodeon family series "The Brothers Garcia" and on the FOX series "The Ortegas." GiGi recently wrote and developed an original TV show, "Start Me Up," for Matthew Broderick. Currently she has an original TV show in development with an Oscar Award-winning producer.
