The Great War/BBC
The BBC has produced this site that includes overviews of four famous battles, an audio archive and a ten minute video showing photographs and film footage from the battlefields. Real Player is required to view the video.

The Great War
From the PBS series about World War I "The Great War and the Shaping of the 20th Century". This is a multimedia site that encompasses television, online and print media to explore the history and effect of World War I.

The Gulf War
From PBS this is an in-depth examination of the Persian Gulf Crises, 1990-91.

History of the Civil War
From Bartleby comes the text of "The History of the Civil War, 1861-1865" by James Ford Rhodes. The author was awareded the Pulitzer Prize in History in 1918 for this chronicle of the war between the states.

The History Place/American Revolution
A timeline of events with descriptions for each. From the exploration of this new country to the birth of a new nation including the text of the Declaration of Independence.

The Korean War
This site contains a brief history, timeline, images and biographies of prominent military leaders. There is information about the Korean War Service Medal.

PBS/History
Check out this PBS website for the section on War & Espionage. You will find information about several different wars including World War II and the Gulf War.

The United States Civil War
This site provides many links to information about the Civil War. You can find a Civil War Timeline, information about famous military leaders, battles and more.

Vietnam Yesterday and Today
A directory to information about Vietnam includings a substantial amount of information about the Vietnamise conflict. There are links to key projects on the web, articles, documents and more.

World War II Commemoration
The Grolier Publishing Company has developed this website with articles from Encyclopedia Americana, biographies, air combat films, photographs from the National Archives and a selected list of World War II websites.

World War II Resources
Included are a large number of primary source materials related to the war. Users will find a large number of speeches, treaties, official declarations and reports and diplomatic documents. Additional resources include timelines, maps, comprehensive information on Pearl Harbor, links to complete online books, and collections of related links.
