Try the new HTC Vive headset, a new and striking Virtual Reality experience! While Oculus Rift users are encouraged to sit down when using that hardware, the Vive promises to be more of an interactive experience that is reminiscent of Nintendo’s Wii video gaming platform. The HTC Vive allows you to move around and physically interact with your virtual environment.

C. Delari Johnston is a freelance theatrical costumer. She has worked on a wide range of projects, from design and construction for community theater at Stamford Theatre Works to regional theater work for Long Wharf Theatre, Sacred HeartUniversity and Ivoryton Playhouse in CT and Glimmerglass Opera in NY to Broadway. She is currently part of the small army of artisans working on the nationally acclaimed Broadway production, Hamilton.

MakerSpace Grand Reopening!

It's the grand reopening of the Westport Library's MakerSpace, and you're all invited!

Celebrate with us as we unveil the new space, located on the Library's top floor. We'll show off our new digs, give you the lowdown on our programming plans for the year, and demonstrate new equipment. And then, at 2:30, be sure to join us for a Godzilla sculpting workshop run by one of our favorite Makers-in-Residence, Chris Crowe! 

Here's a rundown of the day's activities:

10:00: Opening remarks and welcome
10:10-12:00: Open House tours of the new space
Tours will include a walk-through of the space and introductions to new equipment, hands-on demonstrations, and more.
12:00-12:30: Birthday cake! 
12:30-2:00: Tours continue
2:30-4:30: Godzilla Sculpting Workshop w/ Maker Chris Crowe
