Imagine 2108

IMAGINE THE LIBRARY IN 2108

Children in grades K-12 are invited to imagine what the Westport Library may be like in 2108, 100 years from now!
This is an out-of-school "choice" activity.
Imagine the architecture, jobs, services, social events, programs, etc. of a public library in 2108.

Westport Library staff, library school technology and media center staff will be available to answer questions about the guidelines, or to brainstorm about what public libraries might be like 100 years from now.
The project due date is March 1, 2008.

The Library will create one seamless presentation from all submitted projects that will have its debut at the Library on April 6, 2008.

Project Guidelines:

●Projects may be submitted by an individual or by a group, with up to 3 slides per person. If your group is four or more, then a total of 10 slides may be submitted.

●You may add a 60-second audio narration, but do not add music.

●You can draw, paint, or create your project. All final projects must be submitted in PowerPoint. To upload non-digital work (painting, sculpture, etc.) into PowerPoint, take a digital picture or scan it.  Each digital image must be low resolution before inserting into the PowerPoint.

Guidelines will also be available, after January 3, 2008, on bookmarks located at the Library and all public schools, as well as on the Library’s Children’s website and school websites.

●E-mail final PowerPoint by March 1, 2008 to: dwhite@westportlibrary.org In the subject line write:
Imagine 2108, your last name and first initial.
