The basics of résumé writing and proven marketing strategies will be shown. You will learn how to create a powerful summary, headline and core skills section, highlight accomplishments and develop a personal brand that will enable you to stand out from the crowd.

Paul is a Certified Professional Résumé Writer and Certified Myers-Briggs Type Indicator Facilitator. Paul created a LinkedIn Networking Series of workshops for the Department of Labor including Get Connected with LinkedIn, LinkedIn Networking Strategies and LinkedIn Lab to assist clients in understanding how to use social media to find and network with employers.

michael shavelMichael Shavel has been employed by the CT Dept of Labor since 1990. He currently works in the Bridgeport office, providing Career Counseling to a wide variety of job seekers ranging from entry level to upper management. Michael is a certified Myers-Briggs Type Indicator facilitator and is also a Certified Professional Resume Writer, and holds a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Southern CT State University.
