Melanie Szlucha is the President of Red Inc., and provides job search coaching, resume writing and job interview coaching to help individuals present their best selves on paper or in an interview. With over 15 years of experience as a hiring manager, and a background in marketing, she has successfully helped her clients land positions at high profile employers including MasterCard and Mount Sinai Medical Center. She has been quoted on job search sites Monster.com and Careerbuilder.com for her unique insight into the hiring process. She graduated from St. John Fisher College in Rochester, NY with an undergraduate degree in business, and an MBA.

Author and Organizational Psychologist Uco Wiersma on His Book, Interview Charisma

Uco WiersmaDr. Uco Wiersma discusses his book Interview Charisma: Evidence-based Interview Strategies to Help You Win the Job You Deserve. There is only one opportunity in an interview to project your value to a company, so it’s important to know the techniques that work and those that don’t. The best techniques are evidence-based, supported by research. But most of the research on the employment interview is designed to help employers. Hear how to move forward in a career by translating pearls of wisdom from high quality research into practical interview advice.

Dr. Wiersma received his B.A. In Psychology from UCONN and his Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from New York University. He developed human resource management policies, including how managers should interview job candidates, for the New York Stock Exchange. He spent another 20 years teaching human resource management topics in Holland, Singapore, Hong Kong and Dubai. He is currently a professor in the School of Economics and Management at Tongji University in Shanghai, China. When not traveling, he resides in Norwalk.
