Stop by the Great Hall on Wednesday, Feb 15, to watch as MakerSpace coach Jacob Waldman will build a gaming computer for use in the MakerSpace. 
 
All are welcome to watch him from 5:00-7:00 as he puts all the pieces together.

i²robotics, a FIRST Tech Challenge robotics team made up of ten
Staples HS students, in collaboration with the New Haven Bomb Squad,
will demonstrate competition and bomb searching and destroying robots.
Please join us to see the latest in robotics game and bomb detecting
technology and learn about the FIRST (For Inspiration of Recognition
and Technology) program for students.

yuri's nightJoin the MakerSpace's 2nd celebration of the night the first man journeyed into space with crafts and space-themed virtual reality. All ages.

Yuri’s Night is a global celebration of humanity’s past, present, and future in space. Yuri’s Night parties and events are held around the world every April in commemoration of Yuri Gagarin becoming the first human to venture into space on April 12, 1961, and the inaugural launch of the first Space Shuttle on April 12, 1981.

Each session, learn basic sewing machine techniques with a simple project like a stuffed animal, a drawstring backpack, a pillow or a pencil/tool roll pouch. Workshops conducted by freelance theatrical costumer, C. Delari Johnston.  Bring your own machine or use one of 3 provided by the Westport Library. Register for each session and indicate whether you want to use one of the Library sewing machines (limit of 3). Ages 10 & up
