The Westport Library is pleased to welcome two-time Emmy Award-winning journalist, artist and world traveler Jay Schadler!
Jay Schadler presents “Navigating Life’s Transitions: A Traveler’s Tale.” Jay will weave stories from the road (and it’s been quite a road!) along with an honest appraisal of his fears, mistakes and detours as a network correspondent and anchor. Jay will take the audience along for a ride…into those journeys we all make as we move from Who We Have Been to Who We Might Yet Be.
Schadler’s presentation will include video of some of his ABC 20/20 stories and a number of clips from his adventures hitchhiking 20,000 miles all across America. (You can also expect a couple of excursions into his work as a mixed media artist.) But as he says at the outset—“I come not as a teacher or a guide, but as a fellow traveler who’s still somewhere between being lost and finding his way home.”
Series creator Andrew Wilk is a five-time Emmy Award-winning producer and director whose career has encompassed leading roles in many areas of commercial and educational content, including Lincoln Center, Sony Music Entertainment and National Geographic Channel. Drawing on Wilk’s diverse background as a television, film, music and media producer, this pioneering series will offer audiences extraordinary access to luminaries who are at the forefront of science, conservation, technology, and the arts and humanities.
