Authors Michaela MacColl and Lauren Tarshis meet to discuss Michaela's new release, View from Pagoda Hill. Michaela MacColl is the award-winning author of historical novels, including The Revelation of Louisa May, Always Emily, and TheLost Ones. She is the co-author of Rory's Promise and Freedom's Price. She and her family live in Westport.
Lauren Tarshis is the author of historical fiction including the New York Times bestselling "I Survived" series as well as the critically acclaimed Emma-Jean Lazarus Fell Out of a Tree. She and her family live in Westport.

Set in the late 1800s, View from Pagoda Hill is the story of Ning/Neenah, a Chinese-American girl who struggles to find her place in the world when she is forced to leave her home in Shanghai to go live in the U.S. with a father she barely knows. This middle-grade historical novel is based on the family history of award-winning author Michaela MacColl. It earned a starred review form the School Library Journal.
