The Westport Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) welcomes its eight newest members who have just completed the 20-hour training course at the Westport Fire Department. New and current members will be sworn in by Westport Fire Chief and Emergency Management Director Robert Yost. CERT members have received training in Disaster Preparedness, Fire Safety and Suppression, Light Search and Rescue, Terrorism, Sheltering in Place, Disaster Psychology, CPR/AED and Medical Operations. Members are prepared and ready to assist Westport Fire, Police and EMT when activated.
