The Westport Library has partnered with the Artists Collective of Westport to present their first live, all-member show since December 2019, based on the theme of Community. This 2-part exhibit will occupy the Library’s Sheffer and Jesup Galleries. The works will be on view from July 10th through September 28th.
"Community" was chosen as the focus for an artistic response to the global pandemic when people felt a loss of a wider community; yet, gratitude was realized for the many individuals that helped keep us connected, from supermarket employees and delivery people to the healthcare heroes on the front lines. Everyone in our lives, no matter how casual the connection, makes up the web of our community.
In addition to the exhibits, there will be an Art Trunk Show in the lower parking lot (the Taylor lot) on Sunday, July 11th from 11am – 4pm.
The Artists Collective of Westport is a vibrant group of 150 creative individuals who have joined forces to discuss, create, and develop dynamic experiences for the Fairfield County community. The Collective is open to all active artists in pursuit of expanding their careers and in developing a strong, diverse arts community.
