October is here and it is time to work on your Halloween costume! Bring your idea and materials to our workshop to add pizzazz to your costume. Projects may require hand sewing and using hot glue guns. Theatrical costumer C. Delari Johnston and Margaret, Youth Services Librarian will be there to help with additional craft supplies.
Thursday, October 17, 4 – 5:30 for children in grades K – 3. Limited to 16; free; register online. Parental assistance may be required and is definitely welcome.
Thursday, October 24, 4 – 5:30 for children in grades 4 - 8. Limited to 20; free; register online. Parents welcome to stay and help.
C. Delari Johnston is a freelance theatrical costumer. She has worked on a wide range of projects, from design and construction for community theater at Stamford Theatre Works to regional theater work for Long Wharf Theatre, Sacred Heart University and Ivoryton Playhouse in CT and Glimmerglass Opera in NY to Broadway. She was most recently part of the small army of artisans working on the nationally acclaimed Broadway production, "Hamilton".
