Want to improve your ability to make quality videos, whether for creating cool social media posts, documenting a fascinating story, or promoting something you are passionate about?
Thinking about a profession in videography or filmmaking? Verso Studios at the Westport Library has just the intro course for you!
Taught by Emmy award-winning producer David Bibbey, the six week course kicks off in person on 11/15, followed by four remote classes on 11/22, 11/29, 12/6, and 12/13. The final in class is in person on 12/20.
What you’ll learn:
- Gain key knowledge of what it takes to create quality videos from concept to editing and posting online
- Understand how to craft a story arc
- Camera types, settings, and shooting techniques
- Basic understanding of capturing audio for video purposes, including how to record quality audio with a variety of microphones
- How to use and set up lighting, including use of natural lighting, three-point lighting and key lighting equipment, techniques and effects
- The workflow, features, and tricks of editing to produce a quality video
- How to embed and post your video and more
