The Westport Library partners with MoCA Westport, formerly the Westport Arts Center, to bring inspiring Master Classes in Piano to the Library. The four finalists of the 2019 Heida Hermanns International Music Competition will each be coaching two promising local high school students in an open to the public event, as a complement to a series of week long solo concert performances.
The master classes are part of the is the final round of judging and affords an esteemed panel of judges, including previous Heida winners, a unique glimpse at these four finalists in action. It begins with solo concerts held in an intimate salon setting throughout Westport each weeknight, complemented by radio interviews and Master Classes with each at the Library. Finalists will be assessed in this diverse variety of settings necessary for today and tomorrow's well rounded virtuosi and a winner will be chosen to perform in the final evening event performance at the newly opened MoCA Westport, formerly the Westport Arts Center.
