NOTE: The 6/2 program has been postponed.
In order to allow participants to attend other events happening tonight, we are postponing our final Me and White Supremacy conversation. New date TBD. Please watch for updates!
Have you read and journaled through Layla Saad's Me and White Supremacy? Join us for small group processing and reflection.
This spring, TEAM Westport will offer four sessions hosted by Harold Bailey (chair, TEAM Westport), Jenny Nelson (Director of Education and Community Engagement, Westport Country Playhouse), Bernicestine McLeod Bailey (TEAM Westport) and Alison Patton (Pastor, Saugatuck Congregational Church):
- Develop tools for courageous conversation.
- Explore the themes raised during one week of Saad's book during each gathering.
- Deepen your own understanding of your participation in, and capacity to dismantle, systems of white supremacy.
NOTE: These gatherings are designed for those who have already worked through Saad's book, which speaks to those who are white and white-passing. BIPOC who have read the book are welcomed and will be invited to gather in small group(s) with other BIPOC for support and reflection.
