An event every week that begins at 11:00 am on Monday, repeating until Mon, August 24
One event on Mon, June 1 at 11:00 am
Summer should be about having FUN. More than ever, kids need to try new things, explore, learn in the real world, and meet and interact with friends. Summer Distance Learning Clubs do just that. Students will directly interact with their peers and teachers through a variety of technology platforms. The clubs focus on real life learning, our small group instruction will be provided in a 1:4 teacher to student ratio. We will begin as a whole group and then “breakout” into “rooms” with fewer students to provide more personalized instruction and discussion. The groups are facilitated by experienced K-8 certified teachers.
Book clubs meet weekly to explore the world through reading. Each week we will delve into different genres of literature. Using Hoopla we will have students preview text prior to each session to prepare for our discussion. Students will be directed to books that engage and excite them. An interactive platform will be used so students can communicate their thoughts and respond to questions about the text throughout the session and beyond. Book review, trailers and recommendations by students will also be posted.
