TERRAIN, Paintings & Drawings by Michael Brennecke

Explorations of physical, mental and experiential landscapes characterize the work by this lifelong Westport artist, who grew up here “when you couldn’t throw a stone without hitting an artist's studio.” After initially doing strictly figurative work, Michael Brennecke moved towards abstraction and now creates what he calls “controlled accidental compositions, with sometimes ambiguously discernible imagery.”
