Short Cuts Film Festival 2021

Thu, November 4 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm EDT

The Westport Library is delighted to welcome SHORT CUTS Film Festival to the Trefz Forum and online, screening short, award-winning narrative and animated films. Now in its 11th season, SHORT CUTS includes a post-film discussion with its international directors. SHORT CUTS will also be streamed virtually.

For the past 10 years, SHORT CUTS has curated its films solely from the Tribeca Film Festival in New York. But in 2021, the pandemic allowed virtual access to other prestigious festivals.

“We were able to screen films from the Sundance and South by Southwest Festivals,” said producer Nancy Diamond of Westport’s JIB Productions. “And are excited to present our audiences with selections from those festivals as well.”

The first program will take place on Thursday, October 14. A second narrative/animated program will be screened on Thursday November 4. A first-time all documentary program is Thursday, November 18. Masks will be required for all in-person guests.
