The Westport Library is pleased to present a timely conversation with Pfizer executives about Pfizer’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
On Thursday, February 11th at 7:00 PM, Jeremy Price, Westport Library Trustee and Director, Clinical Innovation & Strategic Partnerships, in Pfizer’s Global Product Development Operations Center of Excellence, will sit down with Rady Johnson, Executive Vice President and Pfizer’s Chief Compliance, Quality and Risk Officer, Rob Goodwin, Vice President and Head of the Pfizer Global Product Development Operations Center of Excellence, and John Kelly, Vice President, Quality Operations and Environment, Health & Safety. The executives will provide an in-depth look at Pfizer’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, with insights into clinical research and development, manufacturing, supply and distribution.
Jeremy Price is Director, Clinical Innovation & Strategic Partnerships, in Pfizer’s Global Product Development Operations Center of Excellence. He is responsible for finding new innovative ways to improve clinical studies. In previous roles, Jeremy led teams to enable digital transformation in both Global Product Development and Research & Development.
Prior to joining Pfizer in 2011, Jeremy worked as a management consultant for 10 years and previously worked as a Project Manager at Massachusetts General Hospital. Jeremy earned a BA from the University of Rochester, and an MBA from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. He is also a Fulbright Scholar.
Jeremy and his wife Lisa moved to Westport in 2008. He is on the Board of Trustees of the Westport Library. When not at work, you may find him driving his two kids to their activities, walking his dog, skiing, reading, swimming or cooking – but not all at the same time.
Rady Johnson is Executive Vice President and Pfizer’s Chief Compliance, Quality and Risk Officer. He has overall responsibility for the company's global ethics & compliance program and leads Pfizer’s regulatory quality assurance and global security operations. He is also a member of Pfizer’s Executive Leadership Team.
Prior to joining Pfizer in 1994, Rady practiced food and drug law in Washington, DC, with the law firm of Hogan & Hartson and was formerly a CPA with Arthur Andersen, also in DC. Rady earned a BS from the University of Richmond and his JD from the Georgetown University Law Center. He is active in many global cross-industry compliance and ethics initiatives and is the current Chair of the International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers & Association’s (IFPMA) Ethics and Business Integrity Committee.
Rady and his wife Diane have lived in Westport for 27 years and their three children are each proud K-12 graduates of Westport’s outstanding schools. He’s been active in many volunteer and non-profit organizations over the years and in his spare time you’re likely to find him at Compo or Longshore as he loves the water, all sports and just being outdoors.
Rob Goodwin is Vice President and Head of the Pfizer Global Product Development Operations Center of Excellence. He is responsible for ensuring foundational components needed to ensure the execution of high-quality clinical studies.
Rob has over 30 years of industry experience and is a biostatistician by training. He is a board member for many industry consortia, all in support of streamlining clinical development to speed medicines to patients. He holds a B.S. in Psychology from Eastern Connecticut State University, a M.S. in Research, Measurement and Evaluation from Southern Connecticut State University and an M.B.A. in Pharmaceutical and Chemical Studies.
Rob lives in East Lyme with his wife and 2 kids. Rob’s hobbies include working out, woodworking, barbeque and yardwork.
John Kelly is Vice President, Quality Operations and Environment, Health & Safety, responsible for leading the overall Quality function for Pfizer and for leading global EHS across the Company. John is a member of the Pfizer Global Supply Leadership Team, a member of the Pfizer PAC Board of Directors and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Zydus Hospira Oncology Private Limited, a joint venture between Pfizer and Zydus Cadila. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees of Wakeman Boys & Girls Club, a member of the Worcester Polytechnic Institute Engineering Dean’s Advisory Board, a past member of the Board of Directors of The Patterson Club, and past co-President of the Fairfield College Preparatory School Fathers’ Club.
John joined Pfizer in 1982 and has held assignments in Brooklyn, Puerto Rico and New York City. John holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and an M.B.A. in Operations Management from Pace University.
John and his wife, Beth, have three sons, and live in Southport. He enjoys golfing, bike riding and spending time on Cape Cod
