With over 20 years’ experience in the field of Domestic Violence, Ms. Morhardt has worked as Child Advocate, Children’s Community Educator, Adult Advocate, Criminal Court Advocate, Shelter Services Director and Program Director, creating an environment for individuals to discover or rebuild their sense of empowerment. After working in direct services Ms. Morhardt served as the Domestic Violence Consultant to CT’s Department of Children & Families’ Willimantic Office. Ms. Morhardt has been a key member of the Faculty Team with the Safe & Together Institute, where she trained child protection workers to increase their proficiency in Domestic Violence Case Practice. These experiences allowed her to gain different perspectives on methods and practices of addressing DV and creating progressive collaborations to benefit all involved.
