JOB TITLE: CIRCULATION COORDINATOR
REPORTS TO: PATRON EXPERIENCE AND FACILITIES MANAGER
MIN SALARY: $51,844
The Westport Library has an exiting opportunity for a service-oriented professional with great communication skills and two years’ prior Library experience or extensive experience working in a customer-focused role, to join the Patron Services Team.
The Westport Library, located on the banks of the Saugatuck river in Connecticut is widely considered special for several reasons, including being a hub for learning and creativity, its commitment to community engagement, its innovative programming and services and its architectural beauty.
Under the direction of Patron Experience & Facilities Manager, the Circulation Coordinator supports patrons with their Library account, using the Library Management System; information requests; circulation and recommending materials that meets patrons’ reading, viewing, and listening interests. The Coordinator also works in the Materials Management Department processing and deaccessioning materials, maintaining the Reader’s Choice collection, and placing holds on items suggested for purchase. The Coordinator will use their attention to detail and problem-solving skills to consult with other departments to ensure internal events, outside bookings, & meetings are effectively coordinated with Facilities and Patron Experience to ensure the best patron experience for all.
This position requires the ability to work a flexible schedule as needed including evenings and weekends, comfort with using technology, being an avid reader and the ability to be active for long periods of time.
