In 2019, the Library underwent a $21 million renovation which includes three flexible levels to learn, study, create and explore. The Library offers state of the art media and post-production studios and a beautiful cafe. Our staff is committed to creating an even better library. We are seeking a high energy Director of Finance and HR Admin with a strong background in accounting, fiscal management and payroll and benefits administration.

The Director will have oversite of the Finance function and plays a leading role in financial planning, budgeting, revenue, and expense tracking and will be tasked with supporting efforts to maximize the value to the community of current key library initiatives including our newly designed Audio, Video and Post-Production Studios.

Key responsibilities include working closely with the Executive Director, the Board, the Finance Committee of the Board to lead budgeting and resource allocation efforts and managing risk; oversees a robust internal forecast program to ensure forecast accuracy; manages daily accounting and fiscal operations ensures compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, prepares and monitors Library budgets, financial reporting, taxes, audit, controls, analysis and continuous improvement of financial policies and procedures. Accountable for Administration of HR Benefits and payroll.

The selected candidate will have a BS degree in Accounting or Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting and 7+ years fiscal management experience, ideally with non-profit experience. Blackbaud experience is a plus. In addition, the Director will have strong project management skills with the ability to administer multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize workload, and effectively manage resources; sound judgment, high level of integrity, professionalism, a positive attitude, and a sense of humor; proven knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics; excellent communication skills, both oral and written. A roll up the sleeves attitude, a willingness to go from interacting with executives one minute to taking detailed notes the next, plus strategic thinking skills and a highly collaborative approach plus deep strength in financial management.
