It's been five years since the SEC passed regulations making it possible for small businesses, startup companies and other privately-owned enterprises to raise capital and sell securities via crowdfunding websites such as Kickstarter and IndieGoGo. How has this market for startup capital developed? Who is taking advantage of this new form of fundraising and who is sitting on the sidelines (and why)? What are the advantages and disadvantages of so-called "equity crowdfunding" and is it right for your business? If you are an investor, should crowdfunded securities belong in your portfolio?

In this fast-paced, entertaining program by Cliff Ennico, a leading crowdfunding expert and author, you will learn: the different types of crowdfunding, and how to choose between them; the types of company most likely to benefit from equity crowdfunding; how "equity crowdfunding" works, step by step; how to prepare your company for a crowdfunded offering; selecting the right funding portal for your business; setting the offering terms and preparing disclosure documents; how to manage and market your offering for maximum success; how to manage your investors after the offering is completed; and advice for people who want to invest in crowdfunded securities.
