Today is World Peace Day, and we want to celebrate!
This year, the Westport Library teaming up with our friends at Rotary EClub of World Peace, United Nations Association of SW Connecticut, and the Artists Collective of Westport to introduce the first Westport Library World Peace Day Art Challenge!
The challenge: Create a piece of art that represents an expression of peace. We invite you to please submit your work via email. We'll accept any type of art, as long as it can be sent to us digitally. Winners' work will be displayed to the public on the Westport Library's giant LED video wall.
Deadline for submission is: October 29
How to submit: Please email your work to: peaceartchallenge@gmail.com
File types accepted: JPEG, JPG, EPS, TIF or PDF, but no Word files please. A minimum file size of 1500 pixels in any direction at resolution of 72dpi. (Or to simplify, at actual size it must look crisp when it is at least 12” wide or tall on their screen.)
While the Art Challenge is open to everyone, we encourage teenagers to participate in the Teen Photography Contest!
Fairfield County Students in grades 6-12 are encouraged to participate in the Teen Photography Contest in conjunction with the World Peace Day Art Challenge. Contest details and online entry form can be found at: https://westportlibrary.libguides.com/teenphotographycontest
