The Role:
As a Café Associate, you’re the face of the Library’s hospitality. You’ll be crafting lattes, serving up local favorites, and ensuring every visitor leaves with a smile.
What You’ll Do:
- Master the Brew: Prepare high-quality espresso drinks, lattes, and specialty beverages.
- Be a Hospitality Pro: Efficiently handle POS payments and provide superior customer service during the morning and afternoon rushes.
- Keep it Fresh: Prepare food (mornings), restock favorites, and maintain a sparkling clean, sanitized environment.
- Multi-task: To keep the Café running smoothly.
What You Bring:
- A Positive Spark: You’re honest, self-motivated, and stay cool under pressure.
- Reliability: You’re looking for a part-time role (up to 19.5 hours/week) and are available for 2 morning or afternoon weekday shifts and at least every other Saturday.
- Experience (A Plus!): Prior café or espresso bar experience is great, but we love to train motivated learners.
- Certifications: If you’re ServSafe Food Protection Manager certified, you’ll jump to the front of the line!
- Able to lift and carry up to 40lbs e.g. case of water and stand for extended period.
The Details:
- Starting Pay: $16.94 per hour + tips.
