Rent Our Space For Events

Since 1908, The Westport Library has been at the center of our community, open to all. That includes as an event space to host events of all kinds — and sizes — from the spacious Trefz Forum to our more intimate Komansky Room and Brooks Place.

Hosting an event at the Library provides access to our wonderful spaces, while also supporting the Library's collection, services, and programs.

Trefz Forum

  • The Library rents out the Trefz Forum for large events such as galas, Bar and Bat mitzvahs, weddings, business conferences, etc.
  • We have flexible set-up options including auditorium-style seating, table dining, cocktail receptions, and even dancing. In short, this space can accommodate a wide variety of events.
  • The capacity for a seated event (table seating) is 125. The capacity for auditorium-style seating is 450. The capacity for a standing event is 600 (depending on layout requirements).
  • We have an Emmy Award-winning video producer and an accomplished audio producer on staff to support large events.
  • The forum features an 18-foot video wall, 24-foot x 12.5-foot stage, state-of-the-art audio equipment, and theatrical and mood lighting.
  • Generally, for very large events, we rent out both the Komansky room and the Forum so that the caterers can use the Komansky Room for food preparation.

Komansky Room

  • The Komansky Room is located behind the forum on the Library's main floor and has a capacity of 80 for forum-style seating.
  • This room can be used for lectures, team-building events, and small parties.

Brooks Place

  • Brooks Place is located adjacent to the Hub on the Library's main floor and has views of the Saugatuck River and Jesup Green.
  • Brooks Place can accommodate 70 people.

For events in the Trefz Forum, contact Sally Presutto at spresutto@westportlibrary.org. The price for renting the Forum varies depending on the requirements.

For smaller events that can be held in either the Komansky Room or Brooks Place, contact spresutto@westportlibrary.org. Cost: $100/hour for Westport residents and nonprofits, and $125/hour for non-residents.
