The Book Sales at the Westport Library are a beloved community tradition, powered by a dedicated team of volunteers. The proceeds from the sales support Library programming and operations.
Throughout the year, generous members of the community donate their pre-owned books to the Library for the Book Sales. The Library's book donation center, located in the Library's upper parking lot, is NOW OPEN! Drop off your used books at the donation center any time the Library is open.
There are typically three large book sale events each year—March, Summer and Holiday.
In March, our Spring Book Sale offers three days of indoor shopping with fiction, trade paper backs, cookbooks, children’s books and much, much more.
The Library’s largest sale in July is the annual Summer Book Sale that runs for four days. This sale is a treasure hunt! With tens of thousands of titles in over 50 categories, there is truly something for everyone, including rare and featured specials.
In late fall, the Holiday Book and Gift Sale features pristine, gift-worthy books and unopened DVDs and CDs.
You can also find books available for purchase year-round in the Library Café. Look for new fiction, mysteries and topical nonfiction books as well as children's books and paperbacks for $1.
