About the Exhibit
Once again, The Westport Library will showcase work by the Artists Collective of Westport in the Sheffer and South Galleries.
The theme of this all-member exhibit was inspired by this year’s national celebration of America’s 250th birthday. The title American Journeys implies that there is no one singular American Journey, but rather a collection of many diverse journeys we have all experienced that make up the rich fabric of American life. Over 60 local artists contributed their works.
“Now in its fifth year, this annual multi-gallery exhibition features more than 60 artists spotlighting the thriving visual arts community in Westport, continuing to represent an exciting collaboration between artists, the Library, and our vibrant community,” said Carole Erger-Fass, the Library’s exhibit curator.
About the Artists Collective
The Artists Collective of Westport is a non-profit organization comprised of 150 local artists who have joined forces to discuss, create, and develop dynamic experiences for the Fairfield County community. The collective is open to all active artists in pursuit of expanding their careers and in developing a strong, diverse arts community.
