Operations Policy
General Purpose
It is the policy of the Library to provide a vibrant community hub where people of all ages come to seek information, gain knowledge, exchange ideas and share experiences. To that end the following shall apply.
Privacy
All data and lists created by the Library in connection with the use of the Library by its patrons are confidential and excluded from the Connecticut Freedom of Information Act under Section 11-25(b) of the Connecticut General Statutes and will not be shared or sold to outside organizations.
Non-Discrimination
All patrons will be treated alike without discrimination, bias, prejudice or favoritism.
Patron Responsibilities
Patrons will be required to adhere to all the published rules, regulations, and policies of the Library to include being responsible for the payment of all fines and fees associated with their use of Library services and equipment. Patrons are encouraged to review the Library Code of Conduct, which is available upon request and on the Library’s website.
Enforcement
The provisions herein will be construed and enforced by the Executive Director or personnel designated by the Executive Director whose decision is final and not subject to review.
Amendment
The Library Board of Trustees reserves the right to review and amend this policy in its discretion and at its convenience at any time.
