THE WESTPORT LIBRARY VERSO STUDIOS POLICY
Verso Studios is operated by the Westport Library and consists of The Forum, Audio Control Room, Video Control Room, Postproduction Suite, Mobile Podcast Station, Media Kits, the Makerspace, and several creative program spaces. Verso Studios is available for the community to visit, tour, study, or work.
The Library permits individuals and groups to reserve Verso Studios on an equitable basis, regardless of the beliefs or affiliations of the reserving party, in accordance with Article VI of the Library Bill of Rights of the American Library Association. Thus, the fact that a person or group is permitted to use Verso Studios does not constitute an endorsement by the Library of the views of the person or group.
The Library may deny someone use of Verso Studios if such use would violate any laws, regulations or Library policies, including, but not limited to, the Library Code of Conduct. In addition to this policy statement, potential users of the Verso Studios must enter into a separate Agreement with the Library, which incorporates this policy and includes additional obligations.
In order to maintain a Library atmosphere conducive to the use and enjoyment of library services and facilities, all users of Verso Studios are required to comply with this policy, in addition to a more detailed agreement that will be presented at orientation.
The provisions of this Policy as well as Procedures will be enforced by the Library and all decisions will be final. Enforcement may include prohibiting use of Verso Studios, Library space, and users may be asked to leave the Library building.
The Library reserves the right to impose limitations on the length and frequency of use of Verso Studios by any one person or group, to allow others to have the opportunity to make use of these spaces. Users 13 years of age or younger are required to be supervised by a parent or guardian.
The Library reserves the right to charge for the use of Verso Studios.
The Library Board of Trustees reserves the right to amend this Policy at any time in its discretion.
