His guest this week is Candice Holley, Westport’s Director of Human Resources. Holley oversees all facets of HR and labor relations across a broad range of municipal departments. With over 20 years of experience spanning the public and private sectors, sectors — including Fortune 500 companies, national nonprofits, and start-up environments — Holley brings a sharp strategic lens to talent acquisition, organizational design, and HR systems transformation. A former Division I basketball player at the University of Cincinnati and the University of Mississippi, she later served as a graduate assistant coach at Seton Hall University, an early expression of her lifelong commitment to leadership and mentorship. She recently coached fourth grade girls’ basketball for Westport PAL, merging her love of sports with her passion for uplifting others. Outside of her HR career, Holley is a professional voice talent represented by Dean Panaro Talent and has been featured in numerous national commercial spots. She lives in Newtown, Connecticut, and is a proud mom of three. At the heart of everything she does is a deep passion for community and a drive to create spaces where people can grow and thrive.
