Westport’s own Dan Woog brings his popular blog “06880: Where Westport Meets the World” to life, via the Verso Studios at The Westport Library – recorded LIVE in the Trefz Forum! His guest this week is Kelli O’Hara, one of Broadway’s most celebrated leading ladies. A Tony Award winner with seven nominations to her name, O’Hara is known for her powerhouse performances in ‘The King and I’, ‘Kiss Me Kate’, ‘South Pacific’, ‘The Bridges of Madison County’, and more. She also made history as the first artist to transition from Broadway to opera at The Metropolitan Opera, performing in ‘The Merry Widow’, ‘Cosi Fan Tutte’, and ‘The Hours.’ On screen, O’Hara stars as Aurora Fane in HBO’s ‘The Gilded Age’ and earned an Emmy nomination for ‘The Accidental Wolf’. Her TV and film credits span ‘Masters of Sex’, ’13 Reasons Why’, ‘Blue Bloods’, ‘Peter Pan Live!’, and ‘All the Bright Places.’ In 2024, she returned to Broadway in the musical ‘Days of Wine and Roses.’ Also a celebrated concert artist, she has performed at Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center Honors, and with major symphonies worldwide.
