Join our 2025 Summer Learning Clubs at The Westport Library for an engaging, hands-on, student-driven learning experience! Designed around a Project-Based Learning model, this immersive program integrates math, literacy, and STEAM into a dynamic thematic approach. Each two-day session explores a unique topic through a blend of inquiry, design, research, writing, and the arts, encouraging students to actively participate in their learning journey.
Students collaborate to solve authentic, interdisciplinary challenges, applying critical thinking and creativity to real-world problems. Throughout the process, they gather information, synthesize ideas, and develop meaningful connections between subjects. With a focus on collaboration, revision, and reflection, learners create physical representations of their discoveries, showcasing their understanding in a culminating activity that encourages communication and innovation.
By making learning real, relevant, and hands-on, Summer Learning Clubs empower students to take ownership of their education while fostering essential 21st-century skills. Get ready for an exciting, inquiry-driven adventure where learning comes to life!
Sessions are grouped by grade levels: Grades 1-2, Grades 3-5, and Grades 6-8, with the grade level determined by the grade the student is entering in Fall 2025.
Because we are able to admit a limited number of students, you will be charged a deposit of $25 plus credit card processing fees upon registration. Your deposit will be refunded less credit card processing fees upon attendance at both days or class or notification of inability to attend sent to summerlearningclubs@westportlibrary.org or 203-291-4810 by 9 am on Tuesday, June 17.

This is a hands-on adventure into the world of rockets, astronauts, and the mysteries of space! Explorers will build and launch their own rockets, experience astronaut-style challenges, and discover the wonders of our solar system through fun experiments and interactive challenges. Get ready to blast into learning and reach for the stars!

Express your creativity and transform everyday objects into unique works of art! Students will explore different sculpture techniques, experiment with textures and materials, and build their own 3D masterpieces using found and recycled items. Dive In! Underwater Adventures & Marine Biology
Dive beneath the waves for an underwater adventure! Students will discover fascinating ocean creatures, build models of deep-sea life, conduct fun experiments like an oil spill cleanup, and learn how marine biologists explore and protect our oceans.
