AI OF THE STORM Focus Groups

Sat, November 21 @ 11:00 am - 5:00 pm EST
AI OF THE STORM Focus Groups

What happens when AI creates music? Does it sound different? Does it feel different? And does it matter whether a song was made by a human or by artificial intelligence?

The Actionable Institute, an organization that convenes global thought leaders and innovators to evaluate the transformative power of AI, is exploring its impact on music, and the Westport Library is hosting the conversation. On November 20 and 21, join a series of one-hour focus groups in Verso Studio for a unique, interactive listening experience.

You’ll hear two versions of a song, one performed by humans and one created by AI, then share your honest reactions in a lively discussion with others in your generation. No expertise in music or AI is needed, just your ears, your opinions, and your curiosity.

Insights from these sessions will inform the Library’s exploration of AI, creativity, and culture at the Verso Festival in April 2027.

Filming and Consent: All focus groups will be filmed, and filming is required for participation. By signing up, you agree to be recorded. Comments and insights may be used in research findings and presentations connected to the Westport Library and the Verso Festival. No personal information, including your name, email address, or age, will be shared.
