Anyone Can Use: Scrubbing Personal Information From the Internet
Have you ever Googled yourself and been alarmed by how much of your personal information is out there? While it's impossible to disappear from the internet completely, this Anyone Can Use class will guide you through a practical, free checklist of steps you can take to reduce your exposure on major people-search websites.
We’ll also cover how to correct or suppress inaccurate online info, remove yourself from Google search results and opt out of common data broker databases.
No tech skills required — just bring your curiosity and a desire to protect your privacy.
Registration for this in-person class is required. If you are unable to attend this class, please call 203.291.4840 or email ref@westportlibrary.org at least 48 hours in advance. This will afford others who would like to attend the opportunity to participate.
