As part of Camp Explore 2025, experienced knitter Trammi Nguyen will guide beginners in the basics of knitting: a simple cast on, the knit stitch, and the garter stitch! Participants will learn to keep track of their rows and bind off their knitting as they create small squares and rectangles to for bookmarks, coasters, or a small wallet.
About Trammi Nguyen
Trammi Nguyen has been knitting for more than 12 years and continues to learn and improve every time she starts a new project. She began her knitting life when her kindergartener wanted her to knit a knight helmet--and hasn't stopped since. This year her goal is to learn how to knit socks! Trammi works part time in the Westport Library's Children's Department and volunteers to read aloud and tutor in the Bridgeport Public Schools.
