Civics and the Next Generation of Changemakers

At a time when civic participation has never mattered more, how do we ensure young people have the tools and opportunities to engage thoughtfully, constructively, and across difference?
In partnership with C&S and the League of Women Voters of Westport, join us for an evening exploring the role that higher education plays in preparing the next generation of civic changemakers. Our featured speakers — President Daniel Lugo of Trinity College and President Michael Roth of Wesleyan University — are two of more than 140 college presidents who have joined College Presidents for Civic Preparedness, a consortium organized by C&S to transform campuses into hubs for civic action. Together, they're working to equip faculty and students with the skills for civil discourse and collaborative problem-solving. Additional panelists include C&S President Rajiv Vinnakota and students from Trinity College and Wesleyan University.
Forum reception begins at 6 PM Panel discussion starts at 7 PM.
