What does it really mean to be "good with money"? In this class, for students entering grades 5-8, participants will explore the psychology behind spending, learn how to distinguish needs from wants, and discover how small financial decisions shape their future. Through interactive games and real-life scenarios, they'll build the foundation for smart financial habits.

Instructor Bio:

Aanya Gandhi is a student at Staples High School with a passion for making financial literacy engaging and accessible for young people. This is her second summer teaching financial literacy classes at the Westport Library. She is also the founder of Mini Moguls Marketplace, a youth entrepreneurship initiative that empowers students to develop business ideas and financial confidence through hands-on experiences. In addition, she creates educational financial literacy content that has reached thousands of viewers online.

Aanya believes financial education should begin long before adulthood. Through interactive games, real-world examples, and collaborative activities, her classes help students develop practical money skills they can use throughout their lives. Her goal is to inspire the next generation to become confident, informed, and financially independent decision-makers.
