Xavier Gordon is a career development specialist with the Connecticut Department of Labor and has been with working in state service for more than 30 years. He started in 1991 and quickly became the “go-to person” for job seekers looking for a different view on their job search. Job seekers have benefited most from his level of professionalism, empathy, and starting with the basics in looking for work.
Gordon's unique style has made him one of the most-known workshop facilitators in the agency. He has done training for agency staff and partners, especially with regard to social media and LinkedIn. He is also certified as a career coach, interviewing professional, and résumé writer.
