POSTPONED: In Death, the Gift of Life Launch Event
Sun, March 29 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm EDT
A Message to Patrons: Due to the growing concern associated with the spread of COVID 19/ Coronavirus, the In Death, the Gift of Life program, scheduled to be held at Westport Library on Sunday, March 29th has been postponed at the request of our partners. The project and launch event was organized by a committee of individuals and community organizations in Westport to celebrate the launch of the anthology In Death, the Gift of Life, featuring area writers. The partners plan to hold the event on another date and will explore options.
To celebrate the release of the anthology In Death, the Gift of Life, the Westport Library welcomes Tony-Award winning actor and director James Naughton; Poet Laureate for Westport, Diane Meyer Lowman; Minister Emeritus of the Unitarian Church of Westport, Reverend Frank Hall; and Charlie Karp’s band, The Name Droppers.
This town project honors ten Westport families whose inspirational stories about their lives and meaningful end-of-life choices will resonate throughout the community.
After the main talk, attendees will be invited to join in on the conversation with the award-winning and talented local writers and artists who have been a part of this project.
The event begins at 3 pm on Sunday, March 29. Hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be served. Space will be limited for this free event; tickets required.
