Saturday Dance Break
Take a break from your usual Saturday to learn to dance with Latin and ballroom dance instructor Simone Assboeck, who will lead a one hour workshop covering the basic steps of the sultry rumba and high-spirited swing.
Singles welcome; partners will be rotated. No prior dance experience necessary.
Simone Assboeck, founder and CEO of DanceTogetherNYC, has 20 years experience as a Latin & Ballroom dance coach, dancer, choreographer, and judge. She holds a master's degree in physical education with a focus on modern dance technique and rehabilitation from the German Sports University in Cologne, Germany. She has worked with organizations and companies like Rooney Partners, The Lowell Hotel, Brooklyn College, and Lincoln Center, and was featured as a dance performer and coach in HBO's Boardwalk Empire and Disney's Enchanted.
